A bowling
accessory bag is practically a necessity if you are even
slightly serious about bowling. After all, a bowler tends
to have a lot of accessories, and is therefore in need of
a bowling accessory bag to store, organize, and tote those
accessories in. Here are some accessories that you should
consider keeping in your bowling accessory bag at all times:
- Grip aids -- Keep a grip on the ball. A grip aid will
absorb that excess moisture that you want to avoid when
stepping up the line.
- Insert tapes -- Insert tapes are excellent for multiple
purposes: they can adjust the hole size (without having
to change the ball drilling), ease grip tension, and modify
release. Fitting tape (that goes directly onto your fingers)
is also good.
- See-saws -- Clean all that oil and debris off your ball.
Keep your ball looking and rolling like new.
- Skin patches -- Having skin patches on hand will ease
pain and improve your game if you have blisters or sores
on your hands.
- Shoe covers -- You do not want to have to take off your
shoes every time you need to head to the bathroom or the
bar, and you certainly do not want to wear them and ruin
their soles!
- Tools -- If you use finger inserts (and likely you do),
you are going to need an insert remover. Other good bowling
tools to have handy are a bevel knife and a ball workout
tool.
These are just a few of the things that you may want to keep
in your bowling accessory bag. In truth, you are likely going
to find different items in different bowlers' accessory bags
-- all bowlers prefer different things. If you do not know
quite what you want, then get a bowling accessory bag with
the accessories already in it. You can modify as you figure
out your likes and dislikes.
