Mens
bowling shoes are made for men’s feet. For years,
women have had to wear mens bowling shoes – they had
no other options. Fortunately, these days there are bowling
shoes made especially for women’s feet – shoes
that fit women’s feet! No longer are women stuck wearing
mens bowling shoes!
Mens bowling shoes not only fit women's feet more poorly
than women's shoes, they also fit the entirety of women more
poorly. Women are made differently than men. Their hips tend
to be broader. They tend to be lighter. They move differently.
Their knees are set differently (part of why more women are
likely to have problems with their ACLs than men).
While a good pair of mens bowling shoes can be perfect for
a man and his hips and knees and weight, etc., they are not
as good for a woman -- women need shoes that will address
all of her differences. And although some women can wear mens
bowling shoes and may even prefer them, such shoes should
not be their only option.
